3 Events. 1 Day. 1 Cause.

About Our Cause

The Friends of Mental Health was established in 2004 with a simple mission proposed by the late Dr. John Berry and his wife Kathleen, to bring more awareness and education to mental illness and raise funds to do more in the community. In 2009, the Berry family approached Southwestern with the desire to take their hopes and mission further by becoming part of Southwestern’s family of organizations.

Today,  Friends of Mental Health support direct patient needs, medication assistance and mental health services in our communities. We are proud to say that 100% of the money raised stays right here in our community and has a direct impact on the citizens of Gibson, Posey, Warrick and Vanderburgh counties.

So why Ping Pong? Many studies have proven that the act of playing Ping Pong helps improve memory, mental clarity and mental sharpness. Along with mental health benefits Ping Pong can also help improve balance, hand-eye coordination and enhances reflexes. Any age can play ping pong. You can play alone or with friends. This versatile sport is something fun anyone can do to improve their wellbeing. We hope that you "Rally" with us as a friend of mental health.
